Wonderful and very rare vintage modernist sterling silver designer ring. Hallmarked and signed for renowned Andreas Mikkelsen, Denmark 1970s.

1955 Andreas Mikkelsen started working as a salesman for Georg Jensen and in 1963 he was promoted to sales manager. He quickly progressed at the silversmithy and in 1970 established his own design company where he designed his own jewellery for eight years before returning to Georg Jensen 1978. When Georg Jensen merged with Holmegaard Glassworks in 1983 Mikkelsen became the company's artistic director.
